title: 5006: Upload ref not found. | API Docs
description: upload_ref does not name a ready upload for this account.
---

**HTTP status:** `422`.

The reference is well-formed but no ready upload by that reference exists for this account, or it has expired. Nothing was sent.

## Troubleshooting

- Upload the bytes again with POST /v1/media and send promptly with the new upload\_ref.
